Sunday Update 25 March

Well, its that time of the year and in our back garden at the moment is our resident pheasant together with his harem of ladies.

This year however, he has a hybrid in tow. She has a golden tripe round her head and a very dark brown/light brown striped body. The picture isn't brilliant so I'll try to do better next time.

Onto stitching; I've finally finished Hilary's Calender of Cats.  I really thought this was going to be a quick stitch but was amazed at how long it took (sorry Hilary).  However, its finished now and will be winging its way home on Wednesday.

Finally, having seen how wonderfully well Kerry is doing with her HAED, I was motivated to get mine out.  It was started in 2007 and I had only done 6 pages so if I want to get it finished this century it was time to begin again.  I have so far managed to do pages 7 and 8 and am just starting on page 9 so all seems to be progressing steadily.

So that appears to be it for this week.  I'm still working on my SALs and hopefully will have something to post next week.  The forecast here is fine for the week so hope everyone has a good week.

  2. Wow - Pheasants have harems? Who knew! Love the photo, I've always imagined what your garden and surrounds were like. Continue the garden pics on your Sundays sometimes please ????

Calendar Cats is fabulous - wow there's a LOT of work gone in there, and that photo doesn't show the obscene amount of backstitching Margaret Sherry calls for in these charts. I wont stitch them for that reason.

Wow two whole pages of a HAED in a week! Everyone's needles are smoking on these lately! Fantastic stitching!!!! Way to go!

Can't wait to see what you get up to this week :)
